Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about refunds, substitutes, level guidelines and more.
What is the refund policy?
No refunds. All entries are final.
Can I bring a substitute partner?
Yes. Substitutes are allowed during group stages provided they meet the division level guidelines. Please inform the desk before your next match so we can update the draw. Substitutes are not permitted once knockout rounds begin.
How do ranking points work?
Simple and transparent. Win = 100 points per player. Loss = 25 points per player. Points add up through the season and determine city standings and Masters qualification.
Level guidelines
We use a simple scale: Beginner (0–2), Intermediate (2–3.5), Advanced (3.5–4.5), Open (4.5+). Choose the lowest level where you consistently compete. The desk may move teams to keep groups competitive.
How are divisions split? (Men’s, Women’s, Mixed)
We currently do not segregate by gender. Teams can be two men, two women, or one man and one woman. We group teams by playing level so matches stay competitive. If we introduce separate Men’s/Women’s/Mixed categories in the future, it will be clearly shown on the event page and in the registration form.
What should I bring?
Padel racket, non-marking shoes, a water bottle, and a valid ID for check‑in. Official balls are provided for all matches.
How long do matches last?
Matches are played as best of two sets. If it is 1–1 in group stage, a 7‑point tiebreak is played to decide the winner. If it is 1–1 in knockout stage, a 10‑point tiebreak decides the match.
Format and scoring
Group stages into knockout. Every win awards 100 points per player toward the rankings. Standard padel rules apply.
When should I arrive?
Check‑in opens 30 minutes before the first matches. Match times are subject to change. Matches may not begin until the assigned umpire is present and gives the signal to start.
Can friends and family watch?
Spectators are welcome at most venues unless the club specifies otherwise. Please respect club rules and avoid entering the courts while play is in progress.
Are matches livestreamed?
Yes. All matches are livestreamed on our official The Padel Tournament YouTube channel and also available on our website on event days.
